May 2019 - Present | Simon Tong Associates | Self Employed Hospitality Designer
Due to the loss of my mother in late 2018, I chose to step away from high level design management to pursue smaller projects and allow myself to heal from my loss.
I was however approached by the developer of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (same owner but previously the Four Seasons) project in Vienna (see below), and asked whether I would consider coming back to the Goddard Littlefair team to front the project. I agreed and I have been running the Interior Design side of this multi million Euro project since February 2020 until March of this year.
I continue with the help of an ex colleague, to run small scale residential refurbishment projects.

Major projects include:
The Goodman Group US based senior care home provider, 150 room residential home in Epsom. Value £40million. Project was in difficulty when I arrived due to an under estimation of the level of complexity of Building Information Management required.
