CONRAD HOTEL - SEOUL

Part of the International Finance Centre situated in downtown Seoul, the Conrad Hotel occupies a complete building of the 6 tower mix use IFC office and retail complex. Simon, during his time at LRF headed the team responsible for the interior design of the Public Areas from initial concepts through design, design development, drawing production, site and operator coordination through to completion on site.

In developing the initial concepts for the hotel, Simon and the team were taken by the many Ginko trees surrounding the site and decided that the use of this intriguing species with its attractive leaf would be a good design cue to help bring nature into this densely populated city centre hotel. You can see from the images that the use of natural forms and leaf motifs were used throughout.
